Hi, I was trying to look at the reviews for the latest episode of Walker -("Douglas Fir". When I go to the Walker page and click on the titles, I am redirected back to the Winchester family Business home page - for both articles. I went to the articles list, but those two are not listed, just the reviews for 2.05.

Hi Alice. I am having trouble with embedding stuff in posts. If it is early enough in the comment it messes up the 'Latest Comments' page and all the other comments disappear. I posted a follow-on comment and that didn't appear either though I don't know if that is due to the delay that sometimes occurs between posting and it appearing on the comments page (it can be around a 1/2 hour sometimes and then other times it appears instantly).

I am going to undo it because people will be mad but here is a picture of the result - I embedded a tweet.
(obviously it wasn't a tweet of that ad, that is on the Latest Comments page)

I am aware that we have a number of links that are broken on the site. There is no easy way to find these other than trial and error. So, please, if you read an old article that has a bad link or missing photo, please report it below. I know the Episode Guides are having issues right now. If I get enough, I might create a separate thread and make all entries eligible for a drawing or something. Cleaning up the archives is always my Summer Hellatus priority.

I am always using firefox, never internet explorer. I am accessing this site directly through google. I am also viewing the site from Finland, so I don't know if that's what causing this site to show as hacked so often? Most days during the week this site is unaccessible and is trying to claim I won some internet lottery and tries to push a virus to my computer.

Broken link / 404 Error under tab About Us > WFB Writers

Same error for all writers' links.

Also, very slow refresh rate in this forum.

Some links and pictures have been broken from update. At least gifs are not working.

eilf, you might be having the problem I had when I first got a few PMs last year. After you have received a few from the same person, the new ones don't appear until you click on the "view all messages" message at the top. It's invisible until you scroll over it. At least that's what happened to me.

Hi Alice, the personal message function on the discussion page doesn't seem to be working. I can't receive any messages (I had 2 messages come though that i could read and then nothing) - it appears mine are going the other way.

To get recent comments:

Log in

Check comment bubble beside your name at the top of the comment list

This sends you to your disquis page

Click on the most recent article title link

This sends you back to wfb and more recent comments should now be visible.

Or at least that worked for me just now

Hi Alice, this isn't exactly a technical question.

Can I ask what the site policy is on people (including writers) having multiple user names?

I get that a site writer might like to be able to separate their 'writing hat' from their 'personal opinion hat' - and I know at least one of them has done that at least once - but I am wondering if we are all on a level playing field here? I know you aren't going to have much problem with people signing up and using other names and most people if they change their names tend to let everyone know. It is principally regular commenters and site writers I was wondering about.

I'm not saying you SHOULD have a policy, just wondering if you have any opinion on it?

Hi Alice on my tablet if I try to open the drop-down menu for 'articles' it sends me to a new tab and THEN going back to the original tab shows that the drop down menu has appeared. The ddm doesn't appear on the new tab ....

This doesn't happen with any of the other headers - tapping on them gives a menu first.

I am using an Android Nexus tablet if that helps

This might be a stupid question, but is there anyway to mark all the threads as "read"? I have tons of pages marked at the moment as "New" which I would like to change. If that makes sense.

A questions regarding the "So much Supernatural pretty, so little time..." thread. I keep getting an error 404.

Is it locked? or just locked from me? I don't really care if I'm not allowed in there. I saw some artwork in there I liked, and only popped back every now and then to see if there was something new.

Is there any chance of adding a "spoiler" option to replies?

That way if one of us wants to comment on info about a future episode, without ruining it for those who don't want to know, then we can wrap them in spoiler tags.

You can actually resize the comment field. At the bottom of it, there is a little collection of dots. Put your cursor over it, click and hold, and move it up or down.

I am a new participant in the discussions and i want to thank you for this site. I'm not sure this is the appropriate place to do it, but since this page focuses on the website, I picked it. I enjoy reading the articles and the discussion they cause.

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this but I saw somewhere that there was a CBOX chat room where I could talk to other fans but couldn't find it? I was wondering if this still exists? I wanted to interview some fans (as well as WFB writers) for a project I am doing on the Supernatural fandom. Thank you,

Alice, the past two days I have frequently been getting bounced off the site and the screen comes up saying that it's a server issue. It happens most often when I'm trying to load comments from an article with many comments. Is this happening to anyone else?

Those posts are back again. I think you might need to block them so they can't post anymore. Don't know how that works, but giving heads up again.

Hi Alice. I have been wondering how other people are getting nested comments (on the discussion page) and I am not able to do it. Leah and I just realised that there is only access to nested comments in Chrome but as far as I can see not in Firefox or IE. In Firefox there is a "(heart) like" button in the place where the "comment" button is in Chrome.

Also in chrome the timing of previous comments is pretty random, where it seems to be correct in Firefox. Honestly I don't think it is really a major problem, just thought I would let you know.

Hi. This isnt a question about a technical problem but I was wondering if the rules of posting ie 'Be nice, be constructive, show respect' etc apply to all areas of the site.

I've just noticed that the lets discuss page here seems to be allowing anonymous posts.  Personally, I enjoy knowing who I'm talking to, whether they've chosen to log in or not.  It might become difficult, later, for readers to tell whether comments are coming from multiple anonymous people, or one poster. I don't know if this is something that bothers others, but I would rather see it made a requirement for posters to "own" their comments with a name.

On the Discussion Page it seems to be full of Sexual Medical stuff or it seems likek it.    Not discussions of our show, for sure.

Hi Alice - was checking out the different features on the site.  On the Polls page, I noticed that the text on the poll questions is black; this is illegible with the dark gray background.  I know you can just highlight the text and read it; just wanted to give you a heads up.  

We are having issues lately where user accounts are being disabled at random. I'm working on the problem. If you find you can't login, send me a message via "Contact Us" or post a reply here. Sorry for the inconvenience.
