Oh yes, that is my "kid". He's a rescue - Standardbred x-racehorse that had one hoof on the meat truck when a local society (whose purpose was taking x-racehorses and retraining them for new lives/careers) bought him and I adopted him from them about a year and a half later.

I've had Leader for about 10 years now. He's quite the character and he has been my window into natural and holistic horse care, considering all the damage he came with from the track. One of these days I'm gonna write up his story and post it on my blog. :)
