Hi, I'm Deb! Welcome to my new series! Here's my idea: I will give my TOP 10 elements of an episode – The 5 Good and The 5 Bad things plus a random fact just for fun. The random fact may fit with the episode or may have nothing to do with it at all. It depends what I am thinking at that moment! After reading my lists, I would like to hear your TOP 10 Good/Bad from the same episode, and if you agree or disagree with my list. The point is that every episode must have good stuff you liked and bad stuff you didn't like, or you are not being honest with yourself (*chuckle*). Sometimes “The Bad” stuff is easier to write when the episode is not to your liking and sometimes “The Good” will be easier. The Good/Bad stuff can be silly things - that is alright too. Let’s have at it!

Supernatural 13.1 "Lost and Found"

daria angel
1. Jack Kline
2. Emotional impact – Castiel’s funeral
3. The scenery
4. Sheriff Christine Barker
5. "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica
1. I am not the only one who thinks Alexander Calvert hit it out of the park in this episode. I was not on board with the Nephilim storyline (like at all) but he changed my mind. I guess that is the biggest compliment a person can give. He sold the story for us and people related to him pretty fast. And yes, I like nougat too.
2. The ending broke me. It opened up and rolled over me like a tidal wave after they found Jack. First Dean’s preparation of Castiel’s body made me mush on the floor and the pyre scene floored me. Sam was not thinking about himself at all when he tried to support Jack and keep Dean above the surface. It was beautifully shot and had emotional dialogue. Now where are those tissues?
3. The scenery was divine near the cottage and during the pyre scene. The mountains and the lake really added spice and atmosphere around our heroes. Also the scenery when Dean was driving down the road with Sam in the Impala was breathtaking. The crew really are miracle workers and I could not imagine the show without each and every one of them. Too bad they took that cottage down. I could have rented it.
4. Sheriff Christine Barker will be added to my hall of fame of great female authorities. I really liked her character and happy that she did not bite the dust this time. Usually that happens to every character I am ever interested in. She also got depth when her son Clark Barker was introduced to the story before her appearance. Luckily, he survived too which I thought was a miracle, A+ for family.
5. The “Then” recap could not have hit home better than with Metallica’s "Nothing Else Matters". It is rather fitting for the story too and packs a punch all by itself.
daria devil
1. Only a glimpse of the AU world
2. Miriam
3. Absent God
4. Dick angels – except Lily
5. Sam & Dean can easily fight angels
1. I am a fan of the post apocalypse stuff and Supernatural is no exception. Because of that I felt disappointed that we did not spend more time in the AU. I mean what was it? Five minutes? The greyish sepia tone is marvelous. I really do like how that world has gone to hell literally because of angels and there are not that many people left in the world.
2. Other angels were great and maybe the character was meant to be like that but I disliked Miriam. I did not like her character at all. How she behaved was more like a grown up bad behaving teenager. Also, she was very arrogant in a different way than angels normally are. It was like a knife scratching on a food plate and I wanted to “shoo” her away whenever she was on screen.
3. Yeah, he said that Sam and Dean would be fine on their own. I don’t know about you but for me it looks like their current situation is most definitely not fine. Like not at all. The impact for him to not be there for humanity and those lives he screwed up is galling after he left. I mean Castiel was supposed to be his favorite and first he doesn’t even talk to him? Not to mention that he let Lucifer kill him. It just baffles me. If I were the Winchesters, he better stay gone after this.
4. Miriam is also included in this category because there were only three angels. Two thirds of them were dicks but at least Lily seemed to have some humanity in her. Sometimes the rudeness went over the top and then it just annoyed me. I mean Uriel was rude and scary at the same time and he – presented himself differently. But yes, I was not a fan of those two angels.
5. Hitting angels should hurt and no mere mortal should be able to fight them right? I am thinking about this logically because it should not be possible. Sam and Dean are hunters and they are pretty cool but no. They should still not have any possibility to do that. In season five, Dean hit Cas and that hurt his hand. Castiel’s face didn’t even budge if I recall. It is just too damn easy nowadays.
Nougat is a family of confections made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts are common), whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is chewy, and it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates. The word nougat comes from Occitan pan nogat seemingly from Latin panis nucatus 'nut bread'.
There are three basic kinds of nougat. The first, and most common, is white nougat (mandorlato or torrone in Italy, turrón in Spain), made with beaten egg whites and honey; it appeared in Cologna Veneta, Italy, in the early 15th century, in Alicante, Spain with the first published recipe in the 16th century, and in Montélimar, France, in the 18th century. The second is brown nougat (nougat noir in French, literally "black nougat"), which is made without egg whites and has a firmer, often crunchy texture. The third is the Viennese or German nougat which is essentially a chocolate and nut (usually hazelnut) praline.

There you have it! Now I am dying to read your choices for Top 10. And remember anything goes!
