DEAN AND SAM FACE THEIR OWN BATTLES — Dean (Jensen Ackles) helps Jenna (guest star Laci J. Mailey), the nurse he met after the Darkness fell, get back home safely and then sets off to help Sam (Jared Padalecki) deal with a town infected by a mysterious and deadly gas. However, when Jenna falls into dangerous hands, she calls Dean for help and Sam tells him to go back to her. Unfortunately for Sam, he isn’t able to handle the townspeople turned monsters as easily as he thought. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#1103). Original airdate 10/14/2015.

Finally the newly released Inside Supernatural.
So Sam is being tortured. He also tells someone he was infected last night. It could be Dean, but I’m guessing it’s the other victim who in “We’re all going to DIE!!” mode. The baby, Amara, may be incredibly powerful and eat souls? Crowley is pretending to be a priest and he looks like he’s with Jenna’s relative, for some reason. It also seems that we don’t have to worry too much that Jenna is going to be a love interest for Dean, considering “blue house” first kiss was a she. Cas is still being tortured by the angels. What do you think? What conclusions can you draw from what we know? Let us know in the comments or in the Episode 2 Discussion Thread.

I think Sam is saying that to the “We’re all gonna DIE!” guy.
I can’t wait for tomorrow! 😀
So lets see, they figure out that the baby is TheD or the human embodiment of TheD on earth; I guess saving her was basically the most wrong thing to do – “Out of the Darkness and Into the Fire” indeed. I’m confused about the whole “town affected by a mysterious and deadly gas” bit. It seems like Sam has already got a lot on his plate what with being infected by a deadly black vein disease. You’d think they would have him deal with that instead of going off to save a town from some gas.
If I didn’t know it was an official synopsis I would think that someone misinterpreted the cloud of darkness as a “mysterious gas”. As it is presented here, who knows? Is it 9 yet!?!?
Alycat, you might be right. I am not always sure if the promo people write only what they have seen in promo videos. As Jenna was a deputy and not a nurse.
BoGirle, I think it is TD/the infection we know and the gas is total bollocks. I wish the synopsis was made by the writers. They at least know what they have written. Of course we might find out the cloud was some sort of gas that infected the people. Who knows.

I’ll bet that’s what it is, more black vein stuff misinterpreted by the promo people (not terribly on the ball that lot are they?) as a deadly gas. It makes no sense to introduce a separate and equally deadly secondary (tertiary, etc…) plot point at this early juncture. It reminds me of the “disemboweled slowly from inside” line they fed us regarding Paint it Black. The victims were neither disemboweled, nor slowly, nor from the inside. If the crew can make really great promos (and they can, better than any we’ve seen recently) then they should also take on the previews.
Paint It Black. You’re so right. Hahahahaaa. That was bad in so many different ways I forgot about that brilliant screw up.
Speaking of, what ever happened to the nun than secluded herself and created the BOTD? Did she just die? I mean her restorative must have been extraordinary considering the skin it took to make those pages. 😉 Did they ever say when she died? Maybe she became evil or demonic? Was The Darkness reaching out to her to create the book?
