Here I've been announcing all the accolades Supernatural has gotten on Year End lists, and the show goes and wins an actual award in this TV and movie awards season.  After losing last year, Supernatural has won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show!  Wow!  This was considered by many to be one of those "snowball's chance" things, especially up against Heroes and Lost.  Here's the proof:

The full list of nominees and winners can be found here:

Congratulations to everyone involved with Supernatural, including cast, crew, and fans!  This couldn't have happened without all those that voted.  This is a long deserved moment of recognition and it feels good.

I cannot wipe this goofy smile off my face. I'm so friggin' happy right now. After years of trying to get this show some recognition, we finally did it! It's about damn time!

Wow! Wasn't expecting that, this is so cool--goes to show what a passionate fanbase can do. Did they do a telecast? Do they show this category during the telecast? Gotta go find out...

Hey, what an amazing result! This is actually the first time I voted online for a show and it actually won. I guess we all here voted, right? This is rewarding, since I’m rarely that lucky on election day.
I’m really proud of our show (experiencing from another vicarious pride attack), and this kind of recognition is long due. Even though everyone involved with Supernatural do their best to bring us the best show possible, and they do it without leering at awards. This is finally ambrosia, and it is well deserved.
Congratulations, cast, crew, writers, directors, and all creative departments! Cheers.

elenaM, found out about a telecast? Any link an European could look at?

Hurray, Jas

here I am, grammar getting all mixed up with joy, oh my... I guess I was suffering from a vicarious pride attack, when in fact I wanted to say that I'm experiencing one... Jas

While I think it's fantastic that they won (after all, I think I may have gotten carpal tunnel from voting so often), I was a little peeved that I suffered through watching the whole show last night and they didn't even present that category!! Then I tried looking at the People's Choice website to see if maybe I imagined the whole thing, and their site crashed my computer. I had given up hope, but I'm so glad to see that they actually did win!

Hey - this is great news!

For those wondering about a telecast - this award was not on the broadcast of the People's Choice Awards, sadly. It is very exciting though!! I voted SPN!

I enjoyed the show but it would have been great to see our boys or anyone from SPN up on that stage for a change.

Here's hoping for an Emmy or two next!

Fantastic - here is hoping that SPN continues to finally start to get the recognition it deserves. The acting, direction, writing is due for some recognition!

WOOHOO!!! I'm so glad that SN finally won!

And, now, I'm with Elle, hoping the Emmys will wake up and recognize what a great show SN is!

I'm not surprised that "Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show" wasn't part of the telecast. I wonder if it ever is? I do hope Dawn O. gave Kripke a call as well-- sure it's a genre category award and not as visible but the man deserves a call! I think it's the CW's only other PCA this year. I like to think of it as a big "Thank you, we love you" to Kripke & Company from us fans. I'm of hoping they'll take some pictures around it (maybe at the 100th ep party?) & post them for us somewhere... Ok, definitely bedtime now. 'Night, all...

Woo Hoo.

YAY! about time too! I know it's not a big award like an Emmy but I think Kripke and Co should be very proud of themselves. :D

:D woo hoo!! I was soooooo happy for Supernatural when I heard it won. Its finally about time they were recognised as its a series that is amazing and I look forward to soo much. Congratulations to everyone involved in Supernatural. I know it has to finish one day and that day I will be mourning as it keeps me going. Roll on season 5 and hopefully 6. Not sure what can be bigger than Lucifer coming back but i'm sure Kripke will think of something amazing!!

It's about bloody time! 8-) :D Congratulations to all the people involved and especially Jared and Jensen. Without them, it wouldn't be the show it is now a success. Yay!
