We did well after Arrow, so I’m not unhappy with that at all. I suspect the CW wants to give IZombie a real chance to succeed. I’ll publish more as information comes out.
Has that ever happened to SPN before? It seems odd to move the show a few weeks before the end of the season.
In this layman’s opinion, the move is more about wanting to give a new show the best chance possible with the slot after its freshman hit than a reflection on SPN itself. As its many previous moves have shown, SPN’s audience is loyal and will move with it. ๐
And also season 11 ! ๐

That is really good news Lilah.:)
It has made me smile so wide and don’t tell anyone but I also popped up a cider. ๐

Yes, I’m working on the season eleven news right now. Sadly, this TCA presentation came on a day when all key staff members were busy with real life! But it’s definitely happening.
I’ve been on Twitter and some threads on this site for a couple of months now predicting the SPN move. The Flash is the highest rated CW show ever. Supernatural, while the ratings have been very good, has been losing a good chunk of The Flash lead in, which tells the network that SPN has a built in audience and doesn’t need a strong lead-in. It’s best that they take that buzz of The Flash and try to boost a new show. Wednesdays is good. It’s happening after The 100 ends it’s run, which was only renewed for 16 episodes.
Just wondering if Supernatural is renewed for full season ?
No worries Alice. Just needed to make prelude happy dance here. It is actually late sunday night here. ๐

Yay for SPN!! Was the 100 renewed for a full season or is it still just 16 episodes for next year? I just thought it strange that they would move the SPN at the end of the season like that. But I do understand making room for a new show with a good lead in.
I had no doubt….;) all I have to do now is reset the dvr back to Wednesday…..:p
I don’t mind the move at all. As someone else said, and as we all pretty well know, SPN’s audience is loyal and will follow it anywhere. Plus, it did very well after Arrow last go around. That now leaves me with an empty slot at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, which is kinda a bummer, but otherwise I’m happy. And wow, the 11th season renewal! Is this the earliest ever for renewals? I’m happy.
