Just like every year, The WFB doesn't stop with just the fan choice awards!  Your friendly neighborhood editor-in-chief/site admin is a redhead with some pretty strong opinions and ones that should be shared.  This was a 23 episode season, so there's plenty more awards to be given, good, bad and indifferent.  The best part too is I get to make up categories as I go along, just because I can.

So here we go, time for a time honored summer tradition here at The Winchester Family Business.  In no particular order, The Supernatural Season 12 Editor's Choice Awards!

“Regarding Dean”

This episode got a big hair mention in my initial review.   Sam's distress over Dean's condition only made the hair that much hotter.  It was practically perfect in every scene, each wave reflecting the ups and downs.  Okay, maybe I'm stretching there.  But maybe not.  How about the scene where he's all broken up about Dean.  It's a bit of a mess.  A pretty mess.

There's his panic over Dean missing:

His heart stopping over Dean unsure who he should be shooting:

SPN 1712

Then there's just this in the woods, which is just an awesome angle of a perfect do:

SPN 0953

Yep, a win all around.

Worst Appearance of Sam Winchester’s Hair

SPN 0612

“Twigs and Twine and Tasha Banes”

Let’s call this a good bad.  It all started off with the most delicious of hair disasters, Sam standing by a river in the wind during a light rain.

12.20 0383 wet hair

Hmmm, frizzy wet hair Sam...

The trouble is, the hair never fully recovered from there, taking a life of its own for the most part.  Mostly flat and just there.  Of course it was so dark for most of the episode it could have been perfect in the shadows and I just couldn't see it.

SPN 1536

Definitely not a total disaster though.  Another great hair season overall.
