Supernatural Meets Disney

There can be no one who has not been touched by Disney films at some point in their life. My first experience of cinema was "Mary Poppins." I cannot remember much about this other than being distraught when it finished, I wanted to stay there in that dark magical world. "Lady and the Tramp" is another Disney classic I remember seeing at the cinema. I loved this film and I loved the music. One of the songs from this has been on my wish list to be used for a Supernatural clip for a while and I got my wish last week, but more of that later. As an adult I still love Disney`s animation, "The Little Mermaid," "Finding Nemo," and "Beauty and the Beast" being particular favourites. So when I began searching You Tube for Supernatural clips I loved that I found some there which were crossovers with much loved Disney classics.
At the moment, after the heartbreak and traumas of the final few episodes of Season 6 I think we all need and deserve a few smiles, and that is what I hope most of these will provide. There are quite a lot, but some are very short, some are wonderfully ridiculous, although I have to admit to a few angsty and moving ones!
So grab ice cream, popcorn, chocolate, booze or whatever your "poison" and get ready for Sam as Tarzan and Dean as Hercules.
This is the first Disney clip I encountered and I think it`s still one of my favourites. It`s from "Beauty and The Beast" and is about, I guess, the "baddie" of the piece Gaston. The vidder is LeBluu whose work will feature in this collection quite a lot. I find it impossible to watch this without ginning like an idiot, how can you resist a song with the lyric "I`m especially good at expectorating!"
As we are, of course, an equal opportunities site, here is a wonderful Sam tribute, also from Lebluu. Although I have to wonder how Dean, John and Bobby would take being referred to as his slave, servant and flunky. This is from Aladdin, "Prince Sammy".
I did say they were not all happy, silly ones and, at the moment, this one has me reaching for the tissues. It is by crystalsc using a song from Cinderella "A dream is a wish your heart makes." I need chocolate with this.
Now that one has set half of us off snivelling and sniffing, here`s one to get the other half going too! This is Sam as Tarzan, some might think typecasting! This is actually a beautiful song and does seem to fit very well. The vidder is livlivinha the clip is called "Sammy- Everything that I am."
This one will stop all the girly angst! It features a song from Mulan "I`ll make a man out of you" and all 3 Winchester Men. This song has been used in many different clips, again there is an excellent one made by Lebluu, but this version is by pbfate.
I was unfamiliar with the song used in this video, it is from "A Goofy Movie," but it is so perfect for our boys. It`s called "Nobody Else But You." The video is called "Stuck with you." I think both Winchesters have felt this occasionally. The vidder is Ruby Sparrow, this is just so cute.
We get a lot heavier here with a clip from captainsirius using "The Plagues" from "The Prince of Egypt." I think the editing on this clip is stunning.
As promised we had Sam as Tarzan, so now here is Dean as Hercules. If you get the chance check out these wonderful lyrics by David Zippel, they are brilliant, including the lines "This perfect package packed a pair of pretty pecs," a fantastic tongue twister!. The vidder here is taramckett, this is "Zero to Hero- Dean Winchester."
This one comes with an warning which I know at least one person reading will need to heed as it features "Heart." It is really beautiful. Made by QueenofNarnia29 using a song from a fairly recent Disney film which I loved, "Enchanted." My ambition is to one day be able to watch both this clip and the episode without jumping at the end. The video is called "Sam and Madison- So Close" - Major tissue warning!!!
After that one I think we need to return to some more silliness from LeBluu. This song is from Aladdin "One Jump Ahead" and again this one has very suitable lyrics for our boys.
This one by LeBluu is, in parts, a little more sinister than some of the other examples of her work, it features Sam as Scar from "The Lion King." The song is "Be Prepared."
Another little bit of angst, using a song from "Brother Bear." This is a clip by KitKatDragon99. I must put a disclaimer here as the views expressed in this one are not shared by the writer! The clip is called "Everywhere I turn I hurt someone."
I did add this clip to the "Supernatural fans watch out ... again" article, but because I love it so much, I am including it here too. This is perfect! It is from Robin Hood and as I have said before, once I hear it, I cannot stop singing it. It`s "Oo De Lally – Golly What A Day" by RisenShine22.
This is another Disney song which, unsurprisingly, has proved to be very popular with SPN vidders. It`s "You`ve got a friend in me"from Toy Story, my favourite version is this one from BizarroPat345.
This is a new discovery, I found it today purely by accident, but it does warrant inclusion! It`s a song from Aladdin in a video by chasingangel82 called "Proud of your boy." This one really hit hard, either that or I am still too emotional after the final 2 episodes.
ShootingStar145 has put together a video to a medley of Disney songs from both old classics and new films. I think the clips of Sam and Sarah were just destined for that song from "The Little Mermaid."
Another new one on me here from "The Little Mermaid 2." This video is by icclenomi and features 2 new characters, Tip and Dash, a penguin and a walrus, the "adventurers slash explorers," not quite sure who is who??
This was another song I only discovered when I found this clip recently, but it has become a favourite. It is from "Peter Pan 2," a film I have not seen. The song is an excellent one for The Winchesters as no one can say they do not always do this, it`s called "I`ll Try." The vidder is NarianaStaris
I said earlier I had been waiting for someone to use this song for ages, and last week, I got my wish. It`s not the version from the film but it`s still the same singer and also the writer of the song, Peggy Lee, it`s "He`s a Tramp" from "Lady and the Tramp." The vidder is SpringAwakened.
I will end this collection with another couple of clips by LeBluu. Yes, it might be ridiculous to have The Impala as Christopher Robin but, for some strange reason this video really appeals to me!
"Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff." Anyone?
And finally....... blink and you`ll miss this one.
Hope there was something here to relieve the stress of the finale and help pass the drought of hellatus . Let me know if you find any more gems out there. Now you must excuse me, I am going to get out all my Disney DVDs and wallow.

Isn`t it amazing what delights you can find on You Tube?
I can waste hours there, but now I call it research
I loved these too! Thanks for your comment Ju
Thank you for commenting Ju
And it was the first time I could watch all vids
One every day might be pushing it a bit too far!
Glad you enjoyed them and really pleased there were no conspiricies this time and you could see them all
Thank you for commenting Ju
I just love these.
My favourite is ‘Oo De Lally – Golly What a Day’.
It forever makes me smile.
I must admit putting this list together was a lot of fun, I had a busy tough few weeks and these really cheered me up too.
I also have a few favourites but you are right, there is something about `Oo de Lally`, I find myself wandering around Sainsburys singing it. People must think I am nuts
Thanks for your comment
Love Ju
So pleased you enjoy these so much, I certainly enjoy putting them together Ju
These Disney "classics" (released from the vault for a short time only.. summer 2011) are fabulous.
In fact, while watching them, I suddenly found myself surrounded by twittering bluebirds (and Moose apparently), and 7 short grumpy, sneezy, bashful, dopey, sleepy, happy (and doc) men!
Even stranger, I found myself bursting into song:
Someday my prince (Dean) will come
Someday we'll meet again (season 7)
And away to his castle (Impala) we'll go
To be happy forever I know
Tee hee hee
I think you are suffering from `Disneyitis` I prescribe repeated viewings of the above videos at regular intervals until the symptoms ease
You may have something here, maybe I should tackle a few Disney songs instead of the classic rock! Although today I am really rocked out as saw Journey, Foreigner (who were amazing) and Styx last night and Yes they did Renegade!!
There were so many songs from the show - Cold as ice, Wheel in the sky, I was in heaven!!
Thanks for your comment Ju
You know that comment about 7 little men has given me an idea for 7 posters as images are in my mind for each one
Hi Ho Hi Ho it`s off to work I go
Of course, as I sign off, what's going through my head now -- "I'm just a little black rain cloud.. Hovering over the honey tree!" If there can be a Hula video...
Bye!
The images for those posters just seemed obvious, and yes I did make them!!
Unfortunately being technically challlenged I cant work out how to upload images here (and also if I did it would remove any hope I have of clinging onto any semblance of sanity)
BTW I always loved Winnie The Pooh! There is just something about that Tubby Little Cubby all stuffed with fluff isnt there
Just once more. - Thank you Julie for bringing us those vids.
Here is one to a song from my all time favourite Disney movie The Jungle Book http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fExih-qbYj0
Thanks for commenting
That is a sweet video, some great smiley happy images, just what I think we all need right now
love Ju
BTW, I was fascinated by a "Duby" (Dean/Ruby)fanv ideo based on a song from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", first of all because of the very rare pairing, scondly because of the very good editing:
I had never seen it before, as you say a rare pairing, it`s really good, very atmospheric and excellent editing.
So pleased you enjoyed these, I love that we can use this place to swap links and extend our own collections. Ju
One little nitpick... Prince of Egypt isn't actually a Disney film. It's one of the first if not THE first animated film from Dreamworks. Not that it's a big deal, I just know it because I love the music from that film!
Anyway, it was a fun little distraction from the stress of watching the Bruins lose. :-( Thanks!
I have never seen the film but presumed it was a Disney animation. Sorry about that, but pleased you enjoyed it anyway.
Rest assured that if that video had not made an appearance here it would have featured in another collection as I think it is incredible. Ju
BTW- Bruins? What sport are we talking here??
Thanks for commenting, as I said, this really set me off on a wander back in time to re watch a few Disney classics. You have something there with the Thomas O`Malley reference, when you think of that lyric it would work so well....
it hasn`t been used yet but you never know
Thank goodness I dont have a clue how to go about making these or I would never stop! How many songs do you hear and think `That would be perfect for......?`
Ju
You rock. Bring on the other inspirations, dear!
btw, loved Prince Sammy, From Zero to Hero,of course oohdelali, oh yes, I loved them all...
Love, Jas
P.S: I want a t-shirt saying 'Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff'!
A favourite stuffed toy for one of my daughters is a very traditional Winnie-the-Pooh . I just have to giggle sometimes now, after watching that video!
Cheers!
Am I right, sweet Julie?
You know me far too well
I had a strong suspicion you might like these, but I am also sure you will enjoy the next collection even more
You know I have developed quite a `thing` about that line, and I have a poster made for the perfect design on the t shirt, unfortunately I cant work out how to include images here
I will say I think we might need to order in bulk as demand might be high
Love Ju
Hope this link works

I knew there was a reason I've always had a soft spot for teddy bears!
My secret wish -- that the show would include a few more scenes like this!
This little exchange has actually given me a brilliant idea about Winnie-the-Pooh and Dean aka "tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff".
I'll leave you with this quote, and let you decide which cubby it suits best!
“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"â€
Tee hee! (this has been so fun.. thank you!)
I love this quote!!
It sums up what is for me one of biggest peeves in life, people who use acronyms and professional gobbledegook to try to impress me with their mighty intellects. It does not work.
Maybe teaching 3 and 4 year olds got me into the habit of using simple language to communicate, but I figure the key word is `communicate`, and surely everyone wants to communicate with as many people as possible, not to try and alienate them. I taught with some people who took great delight in trying to confuse both pupils and parents by doing just this, and I always thought that when they succeeded it said far more about them than their `victims`.
Ok Getting down off the soapbox now.
I also loved that you reminded me of `The Little Black Raincloud` song, which I now have going round in my brain, accompanied , naturally by appropriate images of an adorably cross `cubby` face. I feel more posters coming along. I know I`m insane, but I`m happy, and you have to amuse yourself somehow during hellatus, right?
Ju
Now when I see Pooh Bear I think of Dean!
All I could think of at the start of this video was the Pilot. Seeing Pooh all covered in mud looking up at Christopher Robin, reminded me so much of Dean all covered in mud talking to Sam. I mean the height difference between Pooh and Christopher isn’t too far off from Sam and Dean…right?

I never thought of that but you are so right, it`s perfect.
I adore that `tubby little cubby`, so cuddly!
I also like Winnie The Pooh!
Love Ju
Now, I will descend from my soapbox, and say THANK YOU for Little Black Raincloud. And would it be all right if I pretended the poster of Dean as the raincloud was partly for me too? I was actually thinking the same thing as Karen when Little Black Raincloud bounced into my head.
Here's a few more wonderful Pooh quotes..
1. I can totally hear Dean saying this (sort of):
"This...whatever-it-was (Jefferson Starship)...has now been joined by another...whate ver-it-is (Jefferson Starship)... and they are now proceeding in company. Would you mind coming with me, Piglet (Sam), in case they turn out to be Hostile Animals? (angels, demons, wendigos, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, ghouls, chupacabras, tulapas etc, etc, etc"
2. For all the times, the boys have been separated.. Sniff, sniff..
If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you.
3. The boys in general..
Some people care too much, I think it's called love.
That's enough for now. I think I'm accidentally writing an article, so maybe I should go do that.
Catch you later in the Hundred Acre Wood!
Plus, I think Sam would look adorable in pink, and a little striped sweater. (That would be a sight!)
That sweater would look really good on him, now that you mention it.
You may be right, but I do think he would look very good in that little stripey sweater!
But he looked so perfect as Eeyore in that scene from Tall Tales I will always have that image in my head now
I am sure that Karen will be more than willing to share the `Little Black Raincloud` with you
Welcome to the soapbox! We actually have a group in this country called the `Plain English Campaign` Their tag is `fighting for crystal clear communication since 1979, I think you would approve of this?
You should never mention quotes in my vicinity, I have a very strange brain and as soon as I hear one images just appear in my mind. This happened this morning and I had to do these. I hope you approve

See you in the wood

Thanks for these posters too. They're very lovely.
(I'm still musing on Dean/Winnie/Tig ger and Sam/Piglet/Eeyo re. There's something niggling in my brain.....)
Cheers!
I knew a few of them already, but there are some new ones as well (i especially liked the Plagues because I have an unhealthy love for the soundtrack of that movie)
and because i don't know if you know that one, but which i found excellent (and other people have recced stuff they liked^^) check out this with a song from the rather new "The princess and the frog"
Ruby's got friends on the other side
