The Ultimate John Winchester Hunter's Journal

Nerd Pirates are running a Kickstarter  to produce The Ultimate John Winchester Hunter's Journal. What can we expect from the journal? Here's a  SNEAK PEAK: Making REAPERS Pages for our John Winchester Inspired Journal

See Behind the Scenes:

We run a blog called Nerd Pirates dedicated to super high-quality fandom merchandise and kickass critical analysis of pop-culture. You can find us at:

In tribute to 'Supernatural', one of our most recent projects is 'The Ultimate John Winchester-Inspired Hunter's Journal': a version of 'Dad's journal' (just like the one you see in the show!), on sale via Kickstarter from July 11th.

Featuring monster lore, urban-legend, mythology, and folk-tales from our research team at the University of Oxford, every page draws on information from some of the oldest and grandest libraries in the world (pretty sure Kevin Tran would approve!). Our journals also contain original illustrations from artist, Jilly Bird, as well as countless SPN easter-eggs. Think: Dean's childhood drawings of the impala, GPS co-ordinates for hellhound sightings, the crumpled remains of an acceptance letter for Stanford University, a receipt from 'Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie'.

Produced by fans for fans, we want to create the ultimate 'Supernatural' fan-experience.

This is where you come in. We love your work. We love the way you write. And we'd love you more than Dean Winchester loves pie if your platform could help promote our project. There are a few things which would be really helpful:

Feature us on your blog. We'll provide the images and, if you want, the writing. But, ideally, we'd like to hear what you think of our journals in your own words. Even one sentence would help us get the word out!

Share us on your social media (we're pretty active on Instagram, Tumblr, and Facebook)

Give us your honest opinion. We're always open to suggestions!

Here's the link to our FAQ page for more info on our project, who we are, and what to expect from the Kickstarter:

You can find more information at their Tumblr.

Supernatural Art Show

had a great weekend of entries!

The Wayward Artist gave this Periscope discussion of the art show.

Fan Fiction

Livejournal has several upcoming fan projects.

Spnbigprezel is looking for authors to unite with artists for their Spring Fic Exchange

We've got a very talented group of artists in the mix here at spn_bigpretzel -- and it's time to tempt them into illustrating your fic! All you have to do is cut-and-paste the block below, and pimp your story to the crowd by posting a synopis and snippet! You don't need to have a completed story at this point, but the more you have to give an artist once you have been claimed, the more they will have to work with to make you flabulous art work for your story!

Gift Exchange

We can also look forward to the 2016 Supernatural SummerGen fanwork project. Prompts have been assigned and we are supposed to start getting fanworks July 7.

spn_summergen is an anonymous, prompt-based, gen fanworks gift exchange designed to help Supernatural fans while away the desert months of summer hiatus.
