To truly appreciate the long and winding road Sam, Dean and Baby have travelled, wouldn't it be fun to look back at just how far we've come in 13 years?
Welcome to my new series, "The Boys are Back in Town"! Each piece in this series will peer into the past at where we were during corresponding episodes of earlier Supernatural seasons, so episode 1 of every season, episode 2 of every season, etc. What hunt, what state, what discovery did the boys make oh so many moons ago? Some things were so shocking once upon a time, weren't they?
The debut of the series looked at season premieres. This installment focuses on the second episode in each of the past 13 years of adventures. If season premieres address the remains of the drama from the finale before, episode two continues to bridge what came before with what lies ahead for our intrepid hunters…

The second episode has left us on serious low notes and with some intense teasers that play significantly into later parts of the main plot. Which has been the most memorable, or most shocking for you? What did you not see coming? Looking back at season eleven – Billie tells Sam about “The Empty” that she couldn’t wait to toss him into and all that this might mean, and here we are today, with a peak inside that inky black world.
