"All the seven deadly sins are man's true nature. To be greedy. To be hateful. To have lust. Of course, you have to control them, but if you're made to feel guilty for being human, then you're going to be trapped in a never-ending sin-and-repent cycle that you can't escape from.” ― Marilyn Manson

Here he comes. Last of the Princes of Hell. Asmodeus' character in Supernatural actually follows his real life mythology counterpart fairly well, as you will see later. That is why it was pretty easy to get an idea for this article, yet still it is little bit complex. Because he is the demon of lust, I chose that word as the theme for this article. It also connects the story to the seven deadly sins that are related to the same word as well. I collected a lot information about all three princes from real mythology and how they connect to the sins. I also found two videos that fit and they are pretty great. There is one extra video about Jack at the end of the article. It was too good to pass  up!

  • Threads: Supernatural 13.09 Mid-Season Finale Recap

Supernatural’s mid-season finale “The Bad Place” was an intense, action packed, cliff hanger episode. With intricate finesse, it tied together several plot lines that had been developing over the past two months, and established the groundwork for the next few episodes that are the backdoor pilot to Supernatural’s spinoff, “Wayward Sisters”. My "Threads" review on “The Bad Place” uncovered many of its themes and underlying clues, but there were far too many to do the episode justice in just one article. This continuation will pick up where part one left off, with additional detail and a few threads not discussed originally. Since the story was the mid-season finale, we also have an opportunity to assess the full complement of threads for the season thus far. As an added bonus, we can include some of the spectacular location shots that weren’t available for the first article’s publication. So rewatch "The Bad Place" and gear up for Threads Part 2!

"The winter solstice has always been special to me as a barren darkness that gives birth to a verdant future beyond imagination, a time of pain and withdrawal that produces something joyfully inconceivable, like a monarch butterfly masterfully extracting itself from the confines of its cocoon, bursting forth into unexpected glory.” ― Gary Zukav

  • Mallena's Musings: Supernatural 13.09 "The Bad Place"

Speak of the devil; Jack reunites with the Winchesters in this quite serviceable Supernatural episode.  Lacking in some ways, but great in others…let’s review, shall we?

  • Thoughts on Supernatural 13.09: “The Bad Place”

And that folks, is how we do a mid-season finaleSupernaturalstyle! Drama, visual effects, emotional impact and some serious new-level, edge of the cliff moments at the end that left this viewer breathless and excited.

    The Morning After

Supernatural’s season 13 mid-season finale, “The Bad Place”, was nothing less than mind-blowing, on multiple levels. First and foremost, the episode was intense. It wove together several stories, each focusing on a unique, well-written character who faced a crossroad in their life. Each person’s anguish at having to make difficult choices in crisis situations filled the hour with deep emotion – emotion that was transferred very effectively to the audience through fabulous acting and heart-pounding music. Season 13’s character creation has been truly impressive.

  • Let's Speculate: Supernatural 13.09 "The Bad Place"

This episode titled “The Bad Place” begins with two people making out in an art studio. There’s a knock on the door and Jack is there. Apparently Disaster Artist is a dreamwalker. Come on, he so looks like Disaster Artist James Franco. Anyway, Jack is like yo, you walk in dream, here’s some money and hack the other world for me, okay? Franco is a poor artist so he’s like sure, man. Then there’s like some ritual that includes a really small hot tub. Franco enters the other world and wants back out but Jack hitches a mind ride and then appears to electrocute poor Franco with his devil juice.

  • Mallena's Musings: Supernatural 13.08 "The Scorpion and the Frog"

Alright, I’m so happy to report that Supernatural has done it again.  Whatever those special qualities are that makes our show such a wonderful trip; they’re all here.  We have a gem of an episode that’s definitely delightful.

  • Thoughts on Supernatural 13.08: “The Scorpion & The Frog”

Things aren’t what they appear and trust is a tricky game: such were the lessons in this week’s episode ofSupernatural. A reasonably well delivered episode, “The Scorpion and the Frog” had highs and lows and was certainly nothing quite like I expected going in.

    The Morning After

That was cute! Supernatural’s “The Scorpion and the Frog” was the comedic repose before the intensity of Jack, Mary and the fate of the world hanging in the balance returns in next week’s mid-season finale. Written by Meredith Glynn, whose last episode “The Big Empty” was unanimously praised by The Winchester Family Business reviewers (and most fans from what I saw) is on a roll with popular, well written stories.

  • Let's Speculate: Supernatural 13.08 "The Scorpion and the Frog"

This week’s episode, “The Scorpion and the Frog,” begins in Cambridge, England at a museum where a young woman enters and breaks into a storage room. She rifles around in drawers filled with scrolls until she finds two that she’s looking for. A security guard tries to stop her but she opens her mouth and a demon flies out and goes into the guard. He brings the scrolls to a man and asks how Rock Me Asmodeus will reward them. The demon kills the guard and then calls Dean, saying he has something that Dean would be interested in.

    Four Days Later

“I'm confused. Aren't you Satan? Which would make you the evil monster?”
I’m with Kevin! I’m so confused. Lucifer is back? Well that was easy. A rift that supposedly only a once-a-millennia super power can open is created just in time for Lucifer to use? On top of it, he’s changed and is a good guy who is trying to save Earth?
  • Mallena's Musings: Supernatural 13.07 "War of the Worlds"

We will take a stroll with Satan, see some old friends/foes, and find out who is bothering a witch named Daniela on Supernatural this week.

  • Thoughts on Supernatural 13.07: “War of the Worlds”

So much to say about this week,Supernaturalpacked almost everything in: old enemies, new enemies, conceivable alliances, dawning threats and nods to possibilities yet to be manifested or spoken of. If last week was a microscopic focus on Sam and Dean, this was the expansion pack to everyone else.
