• It's a Supernatural Life - Epilogue

What a long strange trip it has been. I have loved writing this story and imagining all the locations where our heroes would spend their time. Now the epilogue is upon us. If you missed the opening chapters of Christmas in the bunker with the Winchesters, you'll want to go back to read Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5 before continuing.

Now, you have heard Jensen singing a Christmas song so it is fitting to end these stories with a fan video where Jared sings. He sings really well so I hope he gives himself enough credit for that.

  • It's a Supernatural Life - Part 5

Here we are. The last part of the story. Only the epilogue is left after this. If you missed the opening chapters of this story of Christmas in the bunker with the Winchesters, you'll want to go back to read Part 1Part 2Part 3 and Part 4 before continuing.

I hope you have liked this very different Christmas story! Sorry if it turned pretty grim on some points (this part will also have some graphic violence so be warned). I have always thought that Sam deserved a episode similar to "The End" and at the same time I have missed a new Christmas episode, so I combined both my wishes into this story. Hopefully, this story ends on a happy note for you (I saved that for last). If you need more, here is a small season's greetings from Jason Manns and Jensen Ackles - a little Christmas joy in the middle of Hellatus.

  • T'was The Morning of Supernatural Christmas - with New Friends

Editor's Note: This delightful original poem by Karen is one of my favorite Supernatural Christmas reflections. The brothers' lives have changed quite a bit since this was originally posted on Christmas Eve 2013 but the sentiments in it are timeless, so I substituted the names of a few of the boys' visitors to give them their 2017 Christmas Day gathering. If you allow a few minor adjustments in timing of plots, this easily could be their actual 2017 Christmas! When you're done, go back to enjoy the original 2013 version is you wish to reminisce.  Enjoy and Merry Christmas!  - Nightsky

Twas late morning of Christmas, when all through the bunker
Not a creature was stirring, not even the hunters.
No stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
As there was no chimney to place them there.

The guys were still nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of hunting invaded their heads.
Dean on his memory foam, Jack in pjs and cap
Sam on his bed so hard with dreams of Mary in an AU trap.

  • Mallena's Musings: Supernatural 3.08 "A Very Supernatural Christmas"

It’s the time of the year to celebrate a holiday that’s dear to many hearts.  As I contemplate Supernatural’s wonderous Christmas episode from season three, I think of some of the lines from the 1944 classic song, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”  Let’s revisit the golden days of yore, shall we?

  • It's a Supernatural Life - Part 4

Are you ready for part four of the Christmas story? If you missed the opening chapters of this year's Christmas in the bunker with the Winchesters, you'll want to go back to read Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 before continuing. After this we have still one part to go.

The original idea for this story was to make it ready before Christmas day but unfortunately that didn't come to pass. Sometimes I plan too many things to do and I realize that there is only so much you can do in a day. I didn't have a holiday (vacation time) to finish it but so much was already done. I decided just to relax, keep the idea for the story in mind and slowly let it reveal itself. That was good as I could fully focus on it and write all that was needed. So finally we have arrived at the part that is my favorite.

  • It's a Supernatural Life - Part 3

Are you ready for part three of the Christmas story? If you missed the opening chapters of this year's Christmas in the bunker with the Winchesters, you'll want to go back to read Part 1 and Part 2 before continuing. After this we have still two parts to go.

  • It's a Supernatural Life - Part 2

Welcome to the next chapter in my original fan fiction Christmas story! If you missed the beginning of Sam and Dean's surprise holiday hunt, catch up on Part 1 before continuing. As we slowly move toward the heart of the story, we will see and hear about some lovable characters. The speed should fully pick up by chapter 3.

For this chapter I thought it would be fitting to add a clip from 3.08 "A Very Supernatural Christmas" because it is one of the reasons I decided to write this story.

  • It's a Supernatural Life - Part 1

Year 2016 was not an easy one to live through. After my accident, the year seemed to turn into a horrible monster in a horror movie that had randomly decided to kill my childhood heroes and heroines.

Also the world itself seemed to go bonkers. It all started in January and continued the whole year. Even the holidays were grim with news. We lost young and old and I can say that nothing has made me sadder in a while than when we lost Carrie Fisher. I grew up as a Star Wars fan and she and Princess Leia meant a lot to me.

Because of all that happened during the holidays, I got an idea for a story. I wanted people to feel better. I wanted people to have hope and I wished I could lift their spirits. It dawned on me when I watched the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life" on Christmas day - Maybe I should write a fan story that follows the same idea?

  • A Very Supernatural Madlib Christmas

Christmas is a time for joy and fun, so how about a little game for Christmas day, Supernatural style?
  • Memorable Moments: 3.11 "A Very Supernatural Christmas"

Welcome to  a Special Memorable Moments! In honour of the Holidays, I have done a  Memorable Moments on Season Three's ' A Very Supernatural Christmas'. Once again I have put together a list of what I felt were the best and most memorable moments from this episode.  This of course was very hard as every moment of this episode was memorable.  I scaled it down as best as I could! I hope you enjoy it and please share what your picks would be.

  • Fan Video of the Week: Supernatural Reflections "Merry Christmas!"

Choosing this episode and fan video was a no brainer for me this week. First, I love the episode 3.08 A Very Supernatural Christmas a lot. Second, the video is great! Jensen Ackles singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as background to seeing their friends and family that have passed catches the holiday spirit well.

  • Auld Lang Syne: Karen's Favorite Reflections on Supernatural

Editor's Note: The Winchester Family Business writing team wanted to do something very special for this year's holiday season so we put together a new article series for your enjoyment. It's called Auld Lang Syne, which means 'Times Long Past'. The traditional New Year's Eve song tells us that old friends should be remembered and honored (substitute the translation to understand the meaning):

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

As Supernatural starts its second decade of dedicated, superb storytelling, we want to pause and remember the best moments that brought us to where we are today. Each of us joined the Supernatural family at different points in its journey but we share a common love of the show, its cast and its characters. To honor the first ten years of the Winchester's journey, each of our writers picked their favorite reflections from times long past. They share their personal thoughts as to why each piece they chose is special to them or is a part of Supernatural's rich history. From Christmas Eve to past New Year's Day, we'll  repost the most important, defining, tender, creative, emotional, singular moments in the history of the love affair between The Winchester Family Business and Supernatural.

We hope these articles give you insight into the hearts and minds of The WFB writing team, and by extension, the first ten years of Supernatural. After you've read them, we also hope you love these special moments as much as we do.

  • A Very Supernatural Christmas – aka My Favorite Episode

"A Very Supernatural Christmas" – aka My Favorite Episode (Tied with "Mystery Spot")

If I had to choose, Dean is the character I most enjoy watching on Supernatural; however, in reality, I’m a lot like Sam…probably why I don’t love watching him as much, because sometimes it just hits too close to home.

  • Christmas Songs the Supernatural Way

Since I did an article on how Christmas movie titles would be perffect for some specific Supernatural episodes, I realised I couldn't stop there. What about Christmas songs?  So the following are Supernatural's adaptation of traditional Christmas songs!

  • Christmas Movies the Supernatural Way

While looking at the cover of one of my favourite Christmas DVD's (White Christmas), I realized that it would have been a perfect title for Supernatural's Christmas episode. I then started thinking of other Christmas movies that could have been promoted with scenes from Supernatural. So I started playing around with movie titles...and Supernatural scenes...with some crazy results!

  • Have A Very Supernatural Family Christmas With Jason Manns and His Friends: A CD Review

Just in time for Christmas, Jason Manns released a new CD: Christmas with Friends. It's aptly named---and fortunate for us, most of his friends are very familiar to the Supernatural Family. There's appearances from Richard Speight Jr., Julie McNiven, Rob Benedict, Misha Collins, and of course both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. It's an intimate and warm album that captures what the Christmas season is all about: friends and family and joy. While listening to it, we can envision all of them gathering together to sing these songs. Christmas with Friends puts a heartfelt spin on these old favorites--and makes them new again. It's like a big hug from Jason Manns---and all of his very special friends!

Grab some hot chocolate or some egg nog---just watch out if Sam spikes it---and put on your headphones. Let's get into the Christmas mood!

  • My Supernatural Christmas

Let’s face it. There are times when even the best of us are a little obsessed with Supernatural. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s a fact of life in the Supernatural family. For example, this week I was decorating my house with the same Christmas decorations I have used for the past 20 years. I know which bag has the stuffed animals, which bin has the ornaments, and which box has the religious statues. This year, though, I came across a stuffed plush toy that is supposed to make you think of winter scenes. Every year I place it on our staircase with the little Santas and the Mouse King from The Nutcracker. When I looked at it this year, though, I just laughed and knew exactly where it had to sit for the holiday season.

  • Twelve Reasons to Have "A Very Supernatural Christmas"

This time of the year is filled with various holiday traditions. There's meals to share, treats to bake, presents to buy---and, of course, an endless list of holiday specials to watch. Everyone has their select favorites. But what about us Supernatural fans? After all, our show is a horror/sci-fi/fantasy show. It's not exactly tailored to the Christmas special market. But that doesn't mean we should despair! After all, we do have our one lone episode: “A Very Supernatural Christmas.”

In the honor of the song “12 Days of Christmas,” here are 12 very good reasons to make this episode a part of your Christmas special watching list.
  • The Twelve Days of Supernatural Christmas, Day Twelve

On The Twelfth Day of Christmas, Supernatural gave to me...

  • The Twelve Days of Supernatural Christmas, Day Eleven

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas, Supernatural gave to me...
