I always forget how painful the last 2 weeks of a season are. I obviously block it out!

Here they are, the final crop of promo photos for season 8!  What do you know, they tell us nothing.  Oh, but poor Sammy, he looks like he needs a hug.  And if Naomi harms Metatron in anyway, she's going to have to answer to the nerd angel!

I know the cynical tone of my title here might hint that I'm upset with Jeremy Carver, but I'm not.  This is just the way he is, and I love him for it.  He truly wants fans to be surprised.  Anyway, Laura Prudom of the Huffington Post interviewed Mr. Carver, and asked some really hard questions about the final three episodes.  He pretty much gave a non-answer for all of them!  It is kind of interesting reading a man twist like this, but he didn't break.  Bottom line, we've gotta watch!  The next few weeks are gonna get gnarly.

We are certainly making our way closer to the season finale!  The CW released today the promo images for episode 8.22, "Clip Show."  There are some interesting reveals in here to say the least.

First, Sam is looking much better!  I'm assuming that whatever issues he's having with illness will at least be temporarily resolved in 8.21.

Two, Castiel is in the Men of Letter's cave!  That makes me so happy.

Third, it looks like Sam and Dean are the ones that bring back Abaddon!  Oh no, I hope they know what they're doing.

“The Great Escapist” 8.21

When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) receive a distressing video message from Kevin Tran (guest star Osric Chau), they set about trying to uncover the Third Trial.


“Clip Show” 8.22

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) reunite with Castiel (Misha Collins). Digging through the Men of Letters’ files, they stumble upon an undiscovered film which could be the key to the third trial. Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) enlists Cass to mull over problems at home.


SEASON FINALE - EXTEND SYNOPSIS
“Sacrifice” 8.23

WHAT MUST SAM, DEAN AND CASTIEL SACRIFICE TO FOREVER SEAL HELL? — With Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) poised to undo all the good they’ve ever done as hunters, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) find themselves cornered.  But with Kevin’s (guest star Osric Chau) help, the Winchester brothers bound into one last play against The Demon King.  Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) initiates a plan with Castiel (Misha Collins) to take on Naomi (guest star Amanda Tapping) and the bureaucracy of Heaven.  Alaina Huffman and Kim Rhodes also guest star.  Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#823).


What are your thoughts? What do you think of the finale description? At least we now know how the past is being used against the boys by Crowley. How far does "all the good" go? I mean, does that include the Apocalypse? Or just the people saved.
