Updated 7/7: Here's more pictures. Just Wow. The bedroom, the bathroom, the workout room, the two story guest house... You know Jared stayed there.

I'm a little torn over showing this considering I don't like to focus too much on private matters of the "Supernatural" actors, but this wasn't a Gossip site making light of this news. It's the LA Times.
Jensen Ackles is putting his Brentwood home up for sale. It's actually getting a large profile in the Real Estate section of the Los Angeles times, and they have pictures! My, my, what a gorgeous place. Jensen bought the home in 2009 for $2.435 million and is now listing it for $3.495 million.
The entertainment area in the backyard alone has me running the numbers (yeah right!), but in the meantime, it makes sense that such a beautiful man should have such a beautiful place. Major kudos to his designer.
Try not to drool on the keyboard folks!

The one thing I've noticed -the houses all look the same, inside and out. They don't seem that distinctive in terms of personal style - it's like there's one designer doing the rounds of LA. They're all artfully styled, with beautiful appliances and furniture and it's like the houses are never lived in... Either that or everyone is super tidy and never leave their books, pens, bits of paper lying around (unlike the rest of humanity). I also think the housekeepers must be awesome.
"visualize" Jensen hanging out in his down time in these rooms. I loved how functional, clean and uncluttered all of the rooms were. And wasn't it fun visualizing people and dogs milling around out by the pool for a barbecue?
Being a normal middle class nobody, $3.495 million dollars seems like an incredible price for a house - until I factored in the location. My son moved out to the L.A. area for a couple of years and I was astounded to discover how expensive housing is in that area. "Normal" 2 or 3 bedroom homes that would sell for $185,000 in Michigan went for more than a million near L.A.
All things considered, Jensen's home is not as lavish as I actually might have thought he might own. Not to say it isn't lovely - and it goes to say far over my own standard - but just consider what it might be if SPN was aired on a major network, instead of The CW!
Thanks Alice. Glad I don't have to worry about those boys if they become unemployed. Perish the thought! And they deserve every bit of what they have.
Sigh. Nice to dream.
I guess in LA $3.4-million isn't really that much. There are lots of houses in Vancouver & Toronto that are well into the million-dollar range. (If I lived in a different city, I probably wouldn't be able to afford the old "character" house I live in!)
As they say, in real estate, it's all about Location, Location, Location!
I felt a bit like I was a invading privacy looking at the pics, but it is a lovely home.
