On Tumblr they say that Supernatual has a gif for anything. So people who know nothing at all about the show find their posts taken over by random pictures of cute guys saying (and doing) things that, to the untrained eye, look pretty unlikely.

For example:

and:

But that is not the only way that the show breaks out of its corner of the TV viewing world. Probably the most legendary time was the 'Lucifer is Coming' Twitter incident of 2009.

As a tribute to the start of Season 5 the fans got this phrase trending on Twitter. It freaked out a lot of people, who, not knowing it was Supernatural, started tweeting back 'God is Here' (apparently Puff Daddy/P. Diddy started it, and went on about using God's army to defeat the devil). In the end Twitter got enough complaints that the topic was removed altogether.

So here's my question. Have you ever seen Supernatural referenced somewhere unlikely or unusual. Where it is an in-joke or just a misuse? Or something about the show was misunderstood by the outside world?

I have seen Sam and Dean in their white doctors' coats used for a poster in a hospital surgery (which I know I won't be able to find), and I have seen Jensen (so not really Supernatural, but close) used in a hair-restorer commercial ... they photoshopped him with a tonsure and put it on a giant billboard in India (possibly, maybe not) ... I am not going to post that because I think it is awful and I know they tried to get it removed .. but that sort of thing DOES happen!

I have a few examples (I hope) but if you have any, feel free to share!

Here is the one that got me thinking about this today. I have been playing a fun little game called 'Fallout Shelter' (which I recommend if you are short of something to do - it's free) and while looking around for advice on a particular aspect of the game I found an article on Kokatu.
In Fallout Shelter it automatically names new characters for you...but you can change them if you feel so inclined. This is one such example
Someone's been watching Caged Heat I think...
(oh yeah, the babysitter's outfit ... well, while the game is mostly not tooooo sexist, when you want to increase the charisma of a character (because one of your jobs is increasing the population of your shelter) that outfit is one of the ways of doing it. And it's a free game so complaining to them seems a little churlish :) )
Anyhoo... Here's the article so you can see for yourself: http://kotaku.com/the-funniest-things-that-can-happen-in-fallout-shelter-1712578469

This is a game called Labyrinths of the World - this is a game within it... do you see the amulet?

(I am not able to load pictures in large form because they are downloaded on my computer ... I will see if I can fix it.)

This is another free game, it is an escape the room game with the imaginative title of 'You Must Escape'... this is level 17, and there it is. While there are potential 'nothing to do with Supernatural' explanations of other things I have seen this one is difficult to explain away. Except as someone doing the artwork or programming or whatever for this game wanting to make their allegiance known:

These are funny! I always suspect that Supernatural doesn't exist in the real world. I mean, I see the ads in the subway for OTHER CW shows... I guess I figure a portal just opens up from another dimension on Thursday nights and lets it slip through?

I didn't realize you are a gamer. I'll bet you are JUST THE PERSON to advise me on the game I am planning to make, "Escape From Purgatory."

Oh, here's another screencap. Yeah, all I've done so far is drawn a few face pics and some purgatory trees...
