  • Mallena's Supernatural Musings: 2.10 "Hunted"

There has been a lot of talk lately about Jody and the women of Supernatural. In honor of the upcoming spin-off about Jody and her wayward sisters, I wanted to review an episode that had some of my favorite women characters featured in it.  This episode is also very entertaining and well-written.  I do love Ellen, and Ava is a great character (who should have gone down a different path and came back to our show, now and then), but the main thrill here is the battle between Sam, Dean, and Gordon.

  • A Tribute to the Badass Men of Supernatural - Part 3

After I made "A Tribute to the Kick-Ass Women of Supernatural" and part 2 , I wanted to write a similar article about men. I value both in Supernatural because the show has some of the most remarkable guest actors and actresses, so the loss of both are deeply felt. I decided to use the same criteria as I had in my first article: I chose the male characters that had a great impact on me and were also Badass on their own accord.

Strength comes in many ways, whether it is father's, brother's or son's love for one another or strength to go against all odds and do the right thing against what ever the cost would be. Their strength could also be to live on when they are struck by great grief or loss and they feel they can't. These men did that and more. Part 1 of my Badass Men tribute looked at Family and Angels. Part 2 covered the Bad Guys and Frenemies. Those categories include many classic Supernatural characters so you'll want to go back and catch up if you haven't already read them! Let's get on with Part 3!

  • Nate and Alice Make Supernatural "Frenchy Mistakes"

I was bopping around the Internet the other day when I came across the "what could have been" section on Supernatural's TV trope page.  "What is this?" I thought.  "It is real world impacts on the SPN stories," I realized.  It was all pretty fascinating!  So fascinating I knew I had to ask the person who knew most about what goes on behind the scenes of the show... Jensen Ackles!  Unfortunately the court order is still in effect so I had to use my editor signal and summon the person who knows the second most about what goes on behind the scenes, our own site-overlord, Alice Jester!  So we had a sit down to discuss rumors and story possibilities about what could have been (and if this proves popular enough, submit more rumors you've heard and Alice & I will do another one).
