The "I'm not Crying (I've just been cutting onions, I'm making for a lasagna...for one)" Moment of Supernatural Season Twelve
"Twigs and Twine and Tasha Banes"
I don't know how or why, but that scene in the basement when Sam and Dean found Tasha's body and then Max walked in to get the shock of his life, it really got to me. It was the way the whole thing was shot and Max's tearful and genuine reaction, it had me in tears too! That so rarely happens for me and not from a guest character. No wonder he made the desperate decision later when his sister met a horrible fate as well. He wasn't going to lose everything. It was a surprising, very powerful moment.
The “Oh Hell No” Moment of Supernatural Season 12
Sam relegated to the backseat of the Impala? Sacrilege!
Best Shoutout to a Totally Epic Episode in a Prior Season from a Vastly Mediocre One
"The One You Were Waiting For"
The one the stands out for me happened earlier in the season. “Everybody Hates Hitler” is one of my all time favorite episodes and it's sequel was a bitter disappointment. The more perplexing part comes from Aaron Bass’ very brief cameo. Why wasn't he in the whole episode? No Golem? Ah well, at least he's making good progress on his life's mission.
Aaron: We're halfway through the ledger. I nailed six, and the Golem got the rest. It feels good, you know? Finishing what the Judah Initiative started. Sam: Your grandfather would be proud. Aaron: Yeah, well. Dropping out of college to wipe out Nazi corpse-bags wasn't exactly my mother's dream, but what are you gonna do?
Episode Where I Can’t Remember a Damn Thing That Happened
"Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell"
Honestly, I sat there going through the episode list and I tried for twenty minutes before reading the episode synopsis. Even when I read it, I couldn't remember it too well. Then I went to read my review to see what I thought about it and I found I didn't write one! Then it all came back to me. A hellhound story that followed no continuity and Lucifer and Crowley acting like toddlers. I went back to forgetting!
The “Floor…Thud…Me” Moment of the Season
I know what you’re thinking, it’s Dean and the grenade launcher in "Who Are We", right? I mean, how can it not be the grenade launcher? We wanted it all season and longer! But why would I be that obvious, especially when “Who We Are” practically swept the Fan Choice Awards? How about Sam “Fucking” Winchester blazing in with the colt to save Dean in “The Memory Remains?” It even came with a cute tagline…
“The colt. It dusts anything.”
Fine, the grenade launcher wins. I mean, come on. How many years have we waited for this?
Coming up in Part two, more off the wall categories, just because I feel like giving more accolades and we're still a long way from the premiere.
