Both Jo and Ellen made post-mortem visits to the "Supernatural" world, but it was Jo’s appearance that really solidified her badass nature for me. She was a good hunter, but her ability to forgive Dean, even when she was forced to be the vehicle of his emotional torture in “Defending Your Life” marked her time on "Supernatural" as complete. Having grown up in the shadow of the hunting life, she could’ve easily been hardened by the experience, but instead she fought valiantly, died heroically, and was resurrected as an enlightened spirit. Of all the women on "Supernatural", I believe Jo is the most developed and sympathetic.
